HARD LOCKDOWN FOR 88 & 85 GOVAN MBEKI

Please be advised as per directive by NMU, your building has entered a hard lockdown. This is as a result of the heightened COVID-19 risks concerned. Do note that entrance & exit to & from the building will only be allowed during curfew times.


The curfew time is as follows:


Days: Tuesday, Thursday & Saturdays
• 11h00 -12h15 (midday)
• 16h00 – 17h15 (late afternoon)


Kindly return to the building from stores/retail outlets within these days & times.


Please ensure that the following is observed throughout the duration of the building lockdown:
• No inner-building or outside visitors are welcomed
• Masks are worn at all times (inside & outside the building)
• Social distancing is observed at all times
• Refrain from using entertainment/study areas for the time being


Further communication should be issued once altered/ lifted.

    Good evening so if a person returns from the shops on Monday or Wdnesday or any other day other than the days specified on this announcement will they still be allowed to enter the building ?

    When is this curfew starting and when it’s is ending the date since some of we have scheduled practicals and test this one hour won’t be enough to go to campus write a test and come back coz tests and practicals are longer than an hour even the shuttle .

    Good Evening, what happen if you left a month ago and decided to return during these curfew times and days, will you be allowed back in, or what’s the protocol?
